( 2021 )
I remember Gwennie Griffin well – her statements from girls who had under-age sex were quite unique. Because of the content of her statements, Gwennie was affectionately known as wet and sticky.
In relation to police women, keep in mind that up until the mid 1960s, women police were special constables.
In the mid 60s all serving members of the Women Police were sworn in as members of the New South Wales Police Force at a special parade.
The sergeant conducting that parade was none other than Roy McCallum Shiels.

After Gwens passing, she bequeathed $1000 or more to Vision Australia.

Cafe Locked Out: (Interview starts at 6m 30s and goes for 1 hour).
Below is a very honest and raw interview with a grieving Father whose son recently committed suicide (August 2022).
His son Aaron Dalla Costa was fired from his dream job as a NSW policeman for not towing the line by handing his body over to the Government and big pharma.
Unfortunately, Aaron’s family and children will never get to see his smile or hear his laugh again because of this evil agenda our bureaucrats have thrown us into.
A photo of Aaron is in the comments.. look at him and try to understand that he was real, he was loved, and he spent years building his life to where he got it before it was all cut short
Thank you Michael Dalla Costa for sharing your story!

M1 Pacific Motorway closure: pedestrian struck by truck, diversions in place at Warnervale

A SECTION of the M1 Pacific Motorway at Warnervale is expected to remain closed for some time after a pedestrian was hit by a truck.

The incident occurred just after 2.30pm on Sunday near Sparks Road. Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene and quickly closed several lanes to traffic. The northbound lanes will remain closed while officers conduct investigations into the incident.

Northbound motorists are being diverted off the motorway at Sparks Road to rejoin the motorway using the on-ramp. Heavy traffic conditions have already been reported in the area and drivers should expect significant delays.

M1 Pacific Motorway closure: pedestrian struck by truck, diversions in place at Warnervale | Newcastle Herald | Newcastle, NSW

By all reports, Aaron was known as a Top Bloke and Good Copper.

During the height of the Covid19 Pandemic ( around 2020 – 2021 ), NSW Police members ( all staff – unless exempt ) were Directed to be vaccinated against the disease ( Mandated ).  All Serving members who failed ( by a certain period ) to comply with this Mandate or otherwise failed to supply an Exemption were Served with a 181D ( Show Cause why your Employment should not be Terminated ).

‘ Not having ” the jab ” doesn’t necessarily make a person an ” anti vaxer ” ‘ but, allegedly, Aaron was Served with a 181D and eventually left the employ of NSWPF.

Whether the Mental Trauma & ramifications of a 181D was a causation factor in Aaron’s mind is unknown to me – although, had I been in his shoes ( and I have suffered a 181D ), I have no doubt how the man was feeling – having forfeited ” the job ” that he no doubt loved because of the Pandemic.

Aaron stepped in front of an oncoming B Double semi upon the M1, Warnervale, NSW.

May Aaron Forever Rest In Peace.

May his family find Peace and may the innocent B Double driver, and his family, also find Peace.

As stated to me, by another member on the original Post:

” It’s important during these challenging times for all of us to look out for each other and not to wait for someone who ‘knows him/her better’ to make contact and make sure they are ok.”

The Sydney Roosters are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Robert McDonagh.

McDonagh, Rooster #475, played 55 games for the Club between 1957 and 1961 as a front rower, most notably in the Club’s 1960 Grand Final side.

Outside of football, ‘Bob’ carved out a long-standing career as a highly respected police sergeant. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy.

The Sydney Roosters extend their heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Robert McDonagh at this time.

Possibly related to Moisant BENNETT who was born on 19 August 1910 and died 8 November 1961 ( aged 51 ) and who is buried at the Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens, North Ryde, NSW.  Plot:  East Terrace 3, Wall 1.   ( Unconfirmed and his employment is unknown )

I was unable to find any details in relation to the back story of his Queen’s commendation.

” THE DECATHLON’S TOO HARD FOR ME ” ways the winner)

By PETER BANFIELD

” That’s all right for fun, but I’m not going to take it up seriously, ” 21 year-old javelin star Bob Grant said after winning the gruelling Victorian decathlon championship at Olympic Park yesterday.

” I’m not interested in doing it again in the Olympics.

” I didn’t expect to get anywhere this time, because it’s really hard. ”

Grant, who was making only his second decathlon appearance, piled up a total of 5,213 points in the 10-event series.

This gave him victory by 156 points from 21-year-old Sydney policeman Moisant “Sonny” Bennett, who gained 5,057 points.

Alan Hiscock, Old Melburnians, was third, with 4,015 points.

Early leader and hot favorite, Ian Bruce, South Australia, had to withdraw from yesterday’s events because doctors found he was suffering from a dislocated collarbone.

He was injured when he won the high jump on Saturday, but went on to take part in the final event of the day, the 400 metres, to hold a commanding lead with 3,725 points.

Athletes Promise

by JOHN TRELOAR

I was impressed yesterday at the men’s inter-club athletics with the performance of sub-junior Ron Pengelly, of Moore Park.

This young athlete, I believe will in four or five years develop into an outstanding middle – distance runner.

Ron has every attribute of a champion in the embryo.

He is lean, has co-ordination and a stride which is even and correct.

The only fault that I could make is his incessant looking around at the field. This fault is easily arrested.

Another young aspirant, “Sonny” Bennett, of North, who is now a policeman, is at present hopelessly out of condition.

Last year he showed every sign of developing into an excellent field games exponent in the discus and javelin events.

He must realise that hard and incessant training is the only key to success in these difficult events.

Meluish. of Western Suburbs, is improving with every run.

Still loved, still missed, forever dear.

GINTY LUSH’S

GRANDSTAND VIEW

Youth: For years Northern Suburbs Athletic Club has “moaned” about the lack of big lads for field games. Look at this year’s hefty list: —

Sonny Bennett, aged 16. 6ft 4in, 14st. ,

Ray Montana, 18, 6ft 2in, 13st.

Ken Mottram, 15, 6ft, 14st 41b.

Brian Pierce, 17, 6ft 4in. 15st.

All will specialise in field games.
