Sad to see this…..Rest in Peace Phil.
Phil lived two doors down from me in Warrimoo, Blue Mtns, in the 1990’s before he sold up and moved up North. At the time I believe he was working for the Witness Support unit of the NSW Police Internal Affairs. A fine bloke who was always happy to have a chat.
My name is Margo and I am the wife of Phil McCormick. We met in 2000 and got married in 2003. We have 2 sons and 1 daughter and 6 grandchildren. Phil retired in 2004.
Phil was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on the 8th November 2023. He passed away on Boxing Day. He did not want a funeral and we had a private service with family and close friends on the 4th January 2024
Pretty sure Phil was at Penrith in the late ‘70s – early ‘80s.
Had a pencil-thin moustache and smoked rollies.
Quiet sort of bloke but made friends easily.
RIP Phil. Still too young.
