5′ 9 & 3/4″ tall, 11 st, 7 lb in weight, brown hair and eyes with a medium complexion.
He was Married at the time of commencement.
He held the School Intermediate Certificate.
Prior to joining, he spent 2 years as a Rural worker & 5 years as a Truck driver.

A most wonderful man. It might not be known but it was Jack Beswick who stood up to the powers that be over in College Street about allowing women to join the HWP.
Jack got transferred over that out of Traffic.
The HWP lost 2 great inspectors the same week – Cliff Ceely retired and Jack was transferred.

Car Hits Woman, Then Crashes Into Police
A car, after colliding with a woman, swerved, into a Far-western Division police wireless car on Woodville Road, Villawood, last night.
The woman, Mrs. Alice Mary Crawford, of Norton Avenue, Bankstown, was admitted to Parramatta District Hospital with shock and a deep laceration to her back.
The driver of the police car, Constable Jack Beswick, was kept under observation for an hour then allowed to leave the hospital.
Police later charged a man, with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police in the patrol car said they were driving along Woodville Road towards Liverpool, when a car shot past them and hit Mrs. Crawford, who was walking on the right-hand side of the road with her husband.
The car then swerved to the left of the road, crashed into the patrol car and careered across a small ditch to a fence.
The woman’s husband, Mr. Frank Crawford, said: “My wife was jerked away from my arm and hurled about 10 feet in front of me.”

N.S.W. ACCIDENTS
Robert Staniland, 5, of Delhi Street, Lidcombe, had his left leg fractured when he was knocked down by a car in Delhi Street yesterday.
The boy ran across the street in front of an ice cream truck and was hit by a car which was passing the truck.
The driver of the car, Ralph Kerr, 25, of Cooma, took the boy to Auburn Hospital, where he was treated. The boy was then taken to the Children’s Hospital, Camperdown.
Constable J. Beswick, of Lidcombe, is investigating.

Win after close contest
Detective Constable Bruce McKeachie, of Ashfield, played a consistent game to win a stableford event in a competition staged by No. .9 Division Police Golf Club last week.
McKeachie gained 41 points to win from Inspector Ray Blissett, of Paddington, who returned 40 points.
It was McKeachie‘s first win in competition golf events organised by the Police Golf Club.
Presenting trophies to winners, the club president, Detective Senior Constable Jack Thompson, said he was particularly pleased that Detective McKeachie had won. He said he had been playing with the club for a long time, and this was his first victory.
Senior Constable Thompson also congratulated the other winners.
Next meeting of the club will be held at Carnarvon Golf Club, Lidcombe, on Christmas Day.
A single stableford competition event will be staged.
Players will receive a Christmas gift from the club. The event is set down to begin at 8 a.m. sharp.
The club has held elections for the coming year.

Bridges was beaten on a count-back for second place.
Visitors: Mr. Hilton Neal, of Liverpool Golf Club, first with 38 points; Mr. Alby Beveridge, of Fox Hills Golf Club, second with 38 points ( beaten on a count-back ), and Mr. George Barker, of Cabramatta Golf Club, third with 35 points.
